Chris Hughton and his Brighton side continue to go from strength to strength in the Premier League, and currently sit comfortably in mid table after their opening matches, on 11 points and in 12th position. Last season Brighton finished seven points ahead of the drop zone in 15th place, and will no doubt want to build on their solid start to stay further ahead of the bottom three come the business end of the season.
Brighton have had a tough opening run of fixtures, and have so far faced Man Utd, Liverpool, Spurs, and Man City. After this tough start they have won hard earned victories over rivals West Ham and Newcastle in the last couple of matches. The highlight of the season so far has to be the thrilling 3-2 win over Man Utd at the Amex Stadium in August. The seagulls and Chris Hughton seem to enjoy playing United at the moment, so the rematch at Old Trafford in January is one to look out for.
